July 17, 2020
Dear St. Paul Parents,
I hope everyone is doing well. I hope your families have been able to have some Summertime Fun!!!! I can’t believe we are half way through July! It has been a very busy July here at St. Paul School. Our plan is to have students in the building at the end of August. Here are some things that we have done to prepare for the return of school: ordered Face Masks for all students and staff; ordered Temperature Scanners; ordered Sanitizer Stations; ordered tablets and chrome books for students to use in school and if needed for Distance Learning; daily deep cleaning and sanitizing of the school; made various signs for handwashing/wearing masks/social distancing; locker rooms have been cleaned and reorganized; the new curtain divider has been installed in the gym; and I think that is it for now…..but there is a lot more to do!!!! Thank you to Mrs. Coldicott, Mrs. Wilson, Mr. Hakim, Mrs. Uebbing, and Mr. Cesare for all of your hard work helping with all of these projects.
As I stated in the paragraph above, our plan is to have students in the building in August (see attached calendar). Below is a link to a Letter from our Superintendent, and in that letter there are links to The AOD Phase 4 Health Plan and The Recommendations of the AOD for Distance Learning. I read the drafts of those plans last week, some changes were made, so I am going to be reading those again this weekend. As I read those over I will also look over our St. Paul Academic Plan to make sure they are in alignment, review those with the staff and then share those with you. As far as the Health Plan: I will reread that, this document is as is, and this plan will be followed at all AOD Schools. As I have briefly glanced at it today, I have some questions myself: How will we be going to Mass? That is a discussion that I will have to have with Fr. Jim. The question that I have asked a few times already and I am waiting on a reply is, as the AOD Health Team has asked too: Can students and staff wear face shields instead of face masks? I will keep you posted as I receive answers to any of my questions or if anything changes.
Many Happy Blessings,
Mrs. Forsythe

Mentor Families
- Your help is needed to support the growing number of new families registered at St. Paul! Each of the new families will be paired up with a current St. Paul Mentor Family who has children in the same grade/approximately the same age. Mentor families act as a first year “buddy” to new families if you are able to volunteer as a mentor family, please email Mrs. Coldicott at ecoldicott@stpaulonthelake.org
