June 19, 2020
Dear St. Paul Parents,
I hope everyone has been enjoying this beautiful weather! It has been great seeing many of you these last few days. Thank you for picking up and dropping off the students’ belongings. If you have not come in for pick up, we will be here until 2 pm today: Friday, June 19th.
Last Friday night we were able to celebrate our 93rd Graduating Class of St. Paul on the Lake Catholic School. In the fall, our students will be freshmen at 9 different high schools. Best wishes to our Eighth Grade Graduates. Last Sunday, on the Feast of Corpus Christi, our Second Graders received the Sacrament of First Holy Communion. Many Happy Blessings to you, as your heart continues to be filled with Jesus’ Love!
As you may have heard: on Thursday, Governor Gretchen Whitmer stated that Michigan Schools will reopen in the fall!!! YAY!!!!! We will continue to follow the guidelines and directives of the Governor and the AOD. Please click on the link below to read the letter from our Superintendent.
In consideration of the effects of COVID-19 on our community, we believe it is of utmost importance to address the needs and concerns of our families as we plan for the future. In an effort to understand how your family was impacted and your experience with distance learning over the past three months, the Department of Catholic Schools has collaborated with principals across the archdiocese to create an End-of-Year Parent Feedback Survey. The ultimate purpose of this survey is to allow parents the opportunity to share their valuable feedback in order to understand the needs of our families, make improvements, and understand how we can best serve our students going forward. I encourage you to complete this short 5-minute survey by June 29, to ensure that St. Paul on the Lake Catholic School and the Department of Catholic Schools together have an opportunity to hear your voice and understand your needs. Your voice is extremely important to us and your feedback will certainly impact our instructional planning decisions. Please click on the link below to take the survey.
Many Happy Blessings,
Mrs. Forsythe
Calendar for 2020/2021 School Year
- We will have the Tentative Calendar coming soon.
Health and Safety Plan for 2020/2021
- We are working with the AOD to have a plan in place, so that we will be able to physically return to St. Paul School. Our hope that it will be given to you by the end of June, but as we all know that things change very quickly. With that being said, we may put a plan into place and it may change many times before the fall.

Mentor Families
- Your help is needed to support the growing number of new families registered at St. Paul! Each of the new families will be paired up with a current St. Paul Mentor Family who has children in the same grade/approximately the same age. Mentor families act as a first year “buddy” to new families if you are able to volunteer as a mentor family, please email Mrs. Coldicott at ecoldicott@stpaulonthelake.org
